This allows for toe splay within the shoe and a natural mat feel without ever sacrificing support. Inside the Mat Control 3 is a solution dye sockliner that makes the Mat Control extremely breathable and allows for your feet to stay dry throughout the entire wear. Along the bottom is a brand new updated “throwback” outsole, new to the ASICS wrestling line. Inspired from the original ASICS Tiger wrestling shoes, but with a twist, these soles include flexion grooves that create the ultimate mix of flexibility and traction. These new soles, while retro in appearance, are perhaps the most lightweight and comfortable full sole of any wrestling shoe currently available.
