Cliff Keen Chin Cup Assembly:

The Cliff Keen Chin Cup Assembly is made to be compatible with all Cliff Keen ear guards, including the Signature, Tornado, and Twister. All you need to do is simply remove your old chin strap, and either thread is the strap end of the chin cup or use the included strap-on button. Many people opt for a chin cup rather than a normal chin strap either because they find the chin strap uncomfortable, or they simply like the look of the chin cup better. Although many great wrestlers have sported the classic looking chin strap, few have been as notable as Brent Metcalf. Some have argued that he was responsible for the chin cup trend coming back. The chin cup is made to be secured over the chin, and not under it like normal chin straps.

This chin cup is comfortable and stylish. It has lasted me for a very long time. I would recommend this to anyone. The chin strap is comfy and stays in good condition for several years.

Very hard and sturdy to clip in. It fits very tight and it feels trustworthy.

I have a Cliff Keen Fusion headgear. As you probably know, the chin strap has a button buckle on each side to snap on. I notice this chin cup has only a buckle on one end and a side to feed in on the other. I'm guessing this will not work with the CK Fusion? Please advise. Thanks.

The chin cup comes with an extra piece that will allow you to attach the chin cup to both sides of the Fusion

Are the straps supposed to split, because when i clip my chin cup on the straps dont split

    Joey P.'s picture

Not exactly sure what you mean by split? Do you mean where the chin cup sits and the two straps that are attached to the chin cup? Feel free to give us a call if you need further info on the product.

Does this strap have a snap on each side? My sons uncle gave him this headgear that he used during his wrestling years. I believe it is the tornado f5 headgear but i am unsure.

    Joey P.'s picture

These do have straps on both side to attach to the Tornado headgear.

    on 08 Dec, 2016

Was able to pull the chin strap out of the headgear shell and completely off the headgear. One side of the chin cup strap snaps on, but any tips on how to get the pointy end that says "tuck into slot" in and through where the original chin strap was at? It needs to go in and then curl back up and out before it's tucked in to the shell...

    Dave Applegate's picture

Which headgear are you using? For the chin cups to work with most classic headgear like the Cliff Keen Signature, Adidas Response, WrestlingMart Throwback or MatMan Original, the ridges on the end of the chin cup need to be the correct direction to prevent the slipping : )

  • Question byAlex Bovenzi
    on 21 Nov, 2016

I've been looking at purchasing custom headgear along with a chin cup, is there anyway I can get the chin cup to be a separate color than the strap? For example, the strap being red while the actual cup is black? Thank you for your time and consideration into reading this message, I hope to hear from you soon!

    Dave Applegate's picture

Unfortunately, there is no way to get a separate chin cup and chin strap unless you buy two chin cups separately and then switch them out.

I would like to order the cliff keen signature headgear in maroon with gold straps and also the chin cup in black. I see the base price is $29.99 for the headgear and $5.99 for the chin cup. Do you charge extra for the customizing of the straps? Do I still get free shipping? Thanks.

Is there assembly instructions for headgear online?

I do not believe there is. What headgear are you putting the chin cup on? We would be more than happy to explain how to attach the Cliff Keen Chin Cup to the various headgear on the market.
